Start your nursing career with a solid foundation at NGHS.
We know that starting your nursing career can be scary, which is why our RN Residency Program is designed for Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience. At NGHS, nursing practice is grounded in the “Caring is the Human Mode of Being” theory by Sr. Simone Roach. As a resident, you will work in groups to complete an evidence-based practice project that will be presented at graduation. This Capstone work is a representation of autonomy, accountability, and authority – three tenets of our Professional Nursing Governance Structure.

This year long ANCC PTAP accredited program supports your transition into professional nursing practice through:

• 14-24 weeks of orientation with a dedicated Preceptor
• Hands-on training on the units Multi-modal approach that includes:

◦  Use of our state-of-the-art simulation labs

◦  Escape rooms

◦  Interactive games and more

• Quarterly seminars
• Didactic learning

We give you the opportunity to learn, grow, and excel all while you are helping improve the health of the community.
We provide compensation of $32.16/hour plus shift and weekend differentials and offer tuition reimbursement of $5,250 per year for a total of $21,000, as well as scholarships of $1,200 per semester.
